Using one

• Grind first. A roller cannot compensate for stems and chunks.
• Load evenly across the chamber rather than heaping it at one end.
• Roll steadily; forcing it packs one end tighter than the other.

Getting a cleaner roll

Grind evenly with a grinder — stems and chunks cause runs and canoeing. Work over a rolling tray so nothing is lost. Distribute the material along the paper rather than heaping it in the middle, tuck the edge in tightly before you seal, and pack the end down with a pen or a packing tool.
